Who told you that lie

Who told you that lie, Christian?

Separate----sinfilled---guilt ridden----self-disgusted flock member,

perennially lost----clinging----crying for redemption

Always apologizing, and for what?

Lowly worm, crying out

from the wilderness of your deceived heart

Who told you that lie?

To discern, to stand apart, to engage, to nurture and give milk,

To protect , to kill, to eat

to want, to love and to give back

To love and to love

Who took your God, Christian?

Who told you that lie?

Is the tree ashamed of its roots, so firmly embedded

In the sweet nurturing earth-soil?

Its tender leaves embrace the light

And the tree is one with the two

And no

It is not ashamed.

And you are somehow different?

Who told you that lie, Christian?
